Brigitte Dajczer is a multi-faceted musician who currently resides in Montreal. She began performing with Calgary's Rembetika Hipsters in 1999, and her performances can be heard on the recordings Architects of Narghilé and Dinner in Polidroso. She currently also performs with the Balkan sensation Les Gitans de Sarajevo and has had the opportunity to explore Arabic music, from playing Gnawa with Hassan Hakmoun to Rai with Montreal's Algerian musicians.
Brigitte has also played with Canadian singer/songwriters Chantal Vitalis, Kris Demeanor and Geoff Berner. She has also shared the stage with musicians such as Michel Donato and Thom Gossage. She continues to perform and record with the Rembetika Hipsters, when she visits Calgary and on tour across Canada. Brigitte is the violinist heard on The Shrine of Impossible Love CD.
